Okay, it’s been a long time since I’ve posted anything on here. Life has changed a lot, things get busy. I’m a little sad I did not document a lot of things that have happened, but there’s no reason I can’t start it up again, right? I am in the process of making another baby (26 weeks along) and I will be off for a year, so I’m hoping to have more time to devote to my interests. Stay tuned and I will have a lengthy update to cover the 2 year hiatus so I can start anew. I haven’t decided how I will change my layout yet, but for now I’ll start with some new posts.

Stella made a new friend!

Stella is almost 7 months old! She’s sitting up, rolling over, and getting up on her hands and knees. It’s almost time to crawl so we need a bigger apartment!

tortilla soup

So for the past few years I’ve been trying really hard to learn how to cook. It’s been tough and I’ve made a lot of failed attempts. I’m really too impatient for cooking, but we need to eat. Then one day I came across a really great show called “Everyday Food”. It’s part of the Martha Stewart empire, but they have really great simple recipes that any simpleton can make. I ended up buying the magazine and making really great dinners for Clint and I for an entire week!! I’ve also made a few other things and everything I’ve made has turned out really really well! So there is hope! I CAN learn how to cook…

She’s finally here!

Our daughter Stella Eija Dianne Jorgenson was finally born (on Elvis’ birthday!) January 8, 2006 at 7:31pm. She weighed in at 6lbs 13oz with an apgar score of 9 which means she’s healthy and strong. The labour and birth did not go as expected but we are happy everything turned out fine. I’ll share with you the gory details and a few photos of her first moments with us.

Spring is on it’s way!

It’s finally raining today. I was getting worried because we’ve been spoiled with a lot of sunshine the past two months. Usually this time of year is rainy for us. I would rather it rain now so we don’t have a “brown” summer.

Anyway, I haven’t posted for a while because I needed to just stand still for a little while. Things have been so hectic and stressful, it’s hard to keep up sometimes. Now that I have some free time until my next course starts I’ll be getting in some video games. I’m still on the first disc of Star Ocean and Clint is hounding me to play some World of Warcraft. I also wouldn’t mind getting back into Final Fantasy XI too. I have a knitting project on the go as well and a skirt to sew… ahhh so much to do so little time…

And so ends an extremely stressful week. I wrote my final exam yesterday night and I’m feeling quite confident that I passed. I managed to answer every question, but I guess we’ll see if I answered correctly. I get my results in early May.

As for work, I’ve been shuffled around again and I’m training at a new position. My brain is about to explode because of the overload of information I’ve had to pack in there. On top of that I’ve been covering other people’s desks as well. *sigh* Oh well, I’m going to watch the Grave of the Fireflies this evening with my husband and he’s going to cook me a nice meal so I can relax. If I’m lucky maybe I’ll get a foot massage. ^__^

Today is groundhog day!

Sorry for the cheesy picture, but I just love Bill Murray. So, it’s already February and my brain is still stuck in January. I can’t seem to get enough sleep these days, but on the up side I feel really motivated to do things that I have no time or energy to pursue. Go figure! So here I am sitting at my desk at work wishing I was at home all snuggly in my bed. I may take a few days off at the beginning of March to get my shit together and study for my exam. I’m behind a bit in my readings.

Anyway, I just thought I’d put up a random post to start off February. That’s all for now.

Today Clint and I went down to 4th Ave in Kits. I won a $100 gift certificate to the Board Room (a snowboarding shop) from an EA event we went to a while back and I thought I should redeem it before I lost it or completely forgot about it. I tried on a couple cute hoodies and tried not to cry when I looked at all the wicked snowboarding jackets, because they are all around $300 and I can’t afford that right now even with the gift certificate. So we went up stairs to see the shoes and I saw these babies sitting there! Light blue suede shoes with hot pink and navy blue accents… how could I resist? And they were only $109… so there you have it… don’t you step on my blue suede shoes! ^__^

I accompanied my good friend Corinne to a wedding fair! She is planning to get married at some point this year and has a lot of planning to do. So Sandi, Karen (Corinne’s mom) and I went with her for support. It was pretty fun actually! There were boothes from all kinds of vendors around Vancouver.
