Today I FINALLY had an ultrasound. I’m 21 weeks along and they confirmed my due date will be December 30. It was so amazing to see the baby. Everything looks so perfect! You could see all the fingers and toes and the heartbeating (142 bpm this time) and the skeleton… anyway, I’m just posting the pictures now for everyone to see but I will crop them and post them properly later today! Still not 100% on the gender but they said not to paint the room blue just yet so it may be a girl!!! Anyway, no matter what it is, it looks perfect and cute so far!!

Check out this really cute pregnancy ticker. I got it from Loresa who is also pregnant! Loresa is Clint’s cousin Tony’s fianc� and she’s just a few weeks behind me. It seems like this pregnancy thing is contagious. There are also 2 other people on my floor at work who are pregnant right now.

Anyway, we have 19 weeks and 1 day to go! I played music for him last night. I put headphones on my belly and he was moving around so much I really think he can hear now! I played the Beatles white album for him. I wanted to play some classical music but all my CD’s are packed away right now. I’ll have to get Clint to help me dig them out and then we can make a play list for the baby!

I had my latest doctor appointment last week and they have finally booked me for an ultrasound! Yay! So next Tuesday I will have some photos to share as well as news of what sex the baby is. Hopefully they will tell us because I will be 21 weeks at that point and it is visible anytime after 20 weeks. For now I’ve been calling it a “he” but that is just my hunch, I could be wrong. He’s very active now and likes to kick my bladder when it’s full. It’s really sweet to know he’s in there and his movements are a constant reminder that I’m not alone. The doctor said everything is progressing perfectly and my blood pressure and everything is fine. Clint came with me and got to hear the heartbeat for the first time. The heart rate was 160bpm and she said it was higher because he’s really active. We could hear the crackling of him moving around and she had to move the doppler a few times to catch the heartbeat. Anyway, I’m starting to get excited.

Congrats to Dan and Beth on their new baby boy Forrest that was born this morning!! Mama and baby both look great!!

Finally, we made a special trip up to Whistler a few weeks ago to get out of town for a few days and enjoy what’s left of the summer before the baby comes to town. This is the very first time I’ve ever been there which is pathetic considering I was born and raised in Vancouver. I thought it would be a good chance to spend some quality time with Clint’s parents as we haven’t seen them very often as of late.
