It’s never too early to start playing vids!

Well we actually made time to play some video games this morning. We’ve had to put our gaming on the back burner until we could get a routine under control and enough sleep to actually use our brains.

Clint brought home Fight Night Round 3 for the Xbox 360. Wow, it’s a lot of fun. The create a character is amazing and really easy. We’ve made some seriously ugly dudes and watched them get beat to a pulp while we laugh our asses off.

Also, we’ve both signed up to play Auto Assault (the beta version). It’s an online mad max style game where you travel and fight in your car. I haven’t been able to play yet but the graphics look really nice and it’s a really interesting concept for an online game. It would be a lot more challenging to chase and fight your enemy in your car rather than just letting your character hack away at your target while you drink your coffee… Anyway, I’ll post more about it once I’m actually able to play.

Okay, I’m still a person with interests. Even though I’m obsessed with my baby now I still like robots… check out this video clip.

Stella!

My baby is now 6 weeks old! She has already grown into her size 1 diapers!! ACK! No, I guess that’s good… we want her to grow and be healthy. I’m eagerly waiting for this to get easier. I’m hoping we get to the “sleeping through the night” part because I’m sooooo tired. As a result I don’t really feel like myself these days, but it will get better I’m sure… right?!?

Baby Stella cries a lot. Most of the time we don’t know what to do. The first few weeks were really hard because we didn’t know a whole lot about babies… like; how much/often they eat, how long/often they sleep, or even that they sometimes get overstimulated…

Anyway, a coworker of Clint’s was kind enough to lend us this book for a few days and I found it to be quite helpful. There is also a baby whisperer website where there is a lot of useful information. She talks about how to interpret baby’s cries and how to set up a schedule so things are a little more predictible and that way you feel a lot more confident about taking care of the kid. There are still times that she cries and we can’t figure it out, but at least we are feeling a lot more confident about the things we know she needs.

Stella is one month old this week! What a month it has been, it seems to have just flown by. We are starting to get to know her and understand her needs. She pretty much cries when she’s hungry or wants to be picked up. She’s becoming more alert and practices using her vocal cords by grunting and squeaking, it’s really cute.
